“I had the most wonderful experience with Holdens catering!! With my new husband being a chef, the food was incredibly important to us for our Wedding day! We were very specific about our menu and the way we wanted it to look . Tom was more than accommodating and 100% delivered our vision. and on the day the food was absolutely fantastic!! 140 plates delivered, with amazing presentation, absolutely delicious, and the bbq and paella cooking outside added to the amazing atmosphere. Tom and team were absolutely fantastic! We wanted something informal but stunning at the same time and it was absolutely delivered. The food was just delicious, so many people commented on it, even people that weren’t able to make the wedding mentioned to us they’d heard how good the food was! The team were fantastic in getting everything ready for us, serving the Pimm’s and canapés, the dinner, the evening nibbles, all of it. Seamless service, delicious food and lovely people.”

Holdens catering catered for my wedding on the 7th of July 2018. I cannot recommend Tom and his team enough. The service, the food and the whole experience with Tom was faultless.  Tom listened to my ideas and created a menu that reflected my husband and I and the food that we eat. BBQ, paella and pizza to name a few! He had great ideas and advice which I would definitely recommend that people listen to, and the day went perfectly. The 5 stars we have given Holden’s catering truly reflects our experience with Tom and his team. Thank you guys!

Dear Tom and Nicole,
I just wanted to send a huge thank you for all your efforts in making our day so special on Saturday, The food went down an absolute storm and everyone commented on how beautifully presented and tasty it was. We also enjoyed it as much, if not more than our tasting. The service was also superb, you have a brilliant and very attentive team who worked incredibly hard so please do extend my thanks to all of them also.

You and your team were absolutely incredible in the run up to and during our wedding. We could not have chosen better caterers. Right from the start you were so much more professional than other suppliers we’d spoken to, and hats off to you for sticking with us through the worlds longest engagement….! The food was delicious and we got lots of compliments from our guests, which meant a lot to us because food is such and important part our our lives and we wanted our wedding to reflect that. Rhodri was also exceptional to work with before and on the day itself, so please pass on our thanks and best wishes to him, he was a star! Hope you have a successful rest of the wedding season and we hope to see you again in Cardigan in the
near future!

Super meal – we had steak and chips and a huge pork chop with Dauphinois potatoes – both excellent. Wonderful sticky toffee pudding that was served with fudge pieces as well as ice cream – just delicious- pudding was really light and fluffy.
Our waiter was Rhodri who went out of his way to check that all was well – super, friendly and attentive service.
Very few restaurants seem to open on Mondays these days so if you are stuck for somewhere to eat, we heartily recommend.

Thank you all so much for everything you did for us on and in the lead up to the wedding day! You guys were such an amazing (and rare!) combo of incredibly friendly, chilled, competent and on every detail!! As soon as we saw you guys crushing it at Will’s wedding we knew for certain just how lucky we were to have you cater at our wedding and at only 5 month notice too, so thank you so much for fitting us in with your jam-packed calendar. I’m trying to say this is a non-clichéd way to show you how genuine this is, but just about everyone got in touch with us to say how stunning the food was and how amazing your staff were – the starters were perfect for such a hot afternoon and as things cool off the lamb stunned everyone! We feel like we couldn’t have imagined it going better so thank you for providing such and amazing service to us and making the day so magical! We’re also so aware you guys were in the run up to your own day, the photos on insta looked so beautiful! Sending you both our very best wishes as you guys hopefully have a more relaxed autumn to begin married life!

We’re now home from our stay at Gwynfryn and we wanted to write quickly to thank you so very much for the amazing wedding breakfast on Wednesday. We’ve had so much enthusiastic feedback from our guests about your food which isn’t surprising! From the beautiful canapés (of which neither of us managed to get nearly enough – brides and grooms have far too much to do to get their mitts on the canapés!!) to the main meals, everything was perfect. The scallops were melt-in-the-mouth, the veggie/vegan cauli really tasty and the lamb – well, the meat-eaters couldn’t get enough of that which, along with the side dishes, was truly a feast for the eye as well as the stomach! The main dessert’s arrival made that a real show stopper moment. It was so nice that Tom appeared then as it gave everyone the opportunity to express their appreciation. We can assure you that the cheer that went up was heartfelt.

We’d also like to make special mention of
Maddie and Iwan. Their service was faultless
but their personalities raised them to another
level. They judged exactly how to look after us
all and absolutely nothing was too much trouble, all handled with warmth, charm and good humour. We couldn’t believe how long they stayed – and the kitchen was clean as a whistle so it looked as though nothing had happened!

The food was amazing and all staff very polite, helpful and accommodating. We had a great time and heard nothing but great comments with regards to the quality of the food! The evening food also went down a storm – we wish we had eaten more of it! Thank you so much, we will surely come to visit in Cardigan soon.

Hi Nicole, Hi Tom. Apologies for the absolutely horrendous delay in sending this – after the excitement of the wedding and honey moon, normal life sort of gets in the way. A massive thank you from both Kat and I for all of you did for our wedding back in June, everything that you were involved in was absolutely fantastic and the day would not been the same without you. Nicole – having you organising everything on the day really put our mind at rest. Everything ran so smoothly, and your staff were incredible. When we booked you as caterers we didn’t realise we were getting such a full service. And Tom – we have had so many people comment on how incredible the food was, and how it really made the wedding unique. So many people have been raving about the lamb in particular. I know we are slightly biased, but we still think our food was the best of any wedding we have been to over the last few years. And thank you both for being so flexible in the run up to the wedding! Of course, we are more than happy to write a public review (if similar) just let us know.

Just want to say a massive thank you for a brilliantly run day from start to finish. You did everything you said you would from start to finish plus a little more and I’m so glad I choose you over the others. Everyone told me how amazing the food was and how brilliant your front of house staff were. As a chef I know for a fact it wasn’t easy pulling off that menu out of the “kitchen” you had but you did and absolutely no complaints from me. You catered for 3 head chefs that day that all work in really good places that do quality food. I showed them all the kitchen later on and they both agreed you were in the **** before you started!! So a huge well done. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks again

People cannot stop saying how incredible the food was, from the starter to the curry at night. My aunt has asked for your details as her son gets married in 2021. Special thanks to the lady who was head of house on Saturday, so sorry can’t remember her name! She was just amazing, helping with every little detail which we felt went above and beyond. We appreciated it so much. So thank you all so much, we loved every second. the food was exactly us and our guests have continued to comment on the exceptional standard.
